THE TRUMP WIRETAP
To further the Russian ruse, in June 2016, the Obama administration files a request with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA). The request was made in order to monitor communications involving Donald Trump and several advisers. Their hopes were to connect then candidate Trump to the Russians. Much to the chagrin of Obama, FISA denied the request.
Thus again in October 2016 the Obama administration submitted a new, more narrow request to the FISA court. This request focused on a computer server in Trump Tower suspected of links to Russian banks. Keep in mind, Obama knew there was no connection. He just needed access to Trump Tower in order to set up the wiretaps.

A disgraced left-wing journalist is suspected for eight bomb threats against Jewish Centers.
Here’s The Washington Post’s headline: “Missouri man arrested, charged with threats against Jewish facilities.”
Missouri man? That was the item about Juan Thompson’s biography that The Post decided to highlight?
Mr. Thompson, 31, was arrested Friday morning in St. Louis, in connection with at least eight threats against Jewish community centers, including some in the New York City area. He was charged by federal prosecutors with cyberstalking, sending online threats to the community centers in the name of a woman after they broke up.

Amazon S3-izure cause: Half the web vanished because an AWS bod fat-fingered a command- "The Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) team was debugging an issue causing the S3 billing system to progress more slowly than expected. At 9:37AM PST, an authorized S3 team member using an established playbook executed a command which was intended to remove a small number of servers for one of the S3 subsystems that is used by the S3 billing process," the team wrote in its message.

Calling for a ride using Uber, leasing your apartment or booking one using AirBnb, streaming songs through Spotify or ordering a meal using Foodpanda or Deliveroo are services we have come to rely on. Demand for customised and seamless online services is met through the accurate and effective use of big data. “Big data plays a role, right from the beginning of the day to the end of the day. It makes your life easier by helping you make better decisions,” says Swararajul Desai, data science lead in machine learning at Grab, a leading ride-hailing platform in Southeast Asia.

HONG KONG KNOWS
Electric vehicles harm the environment and don’t deserve a tax discount
Critics and environmentalists have missed an important angle in the government’s decision to cap the tax discount on electric vehicles at HK$97,500. Somewhere lost in the debate is the reality that these cars use energy that is ultimately produced by burning fossil fuels. And over half of Hong Kong’s electricity is generated by burning dirty coal. So much for these cars being good for the environment.

Radio talk show host Mark Levin says that everyone should quit investigating Jeff Sessions because there is no substance to the charges. Instead, he says they should be investigating Obama’s shadow government. Obama used his position to eavesdrop on calls by Trump campaign workers and embedded political appointees, who are leaking information to the liberal press.
Drawing on sources including the New York Times and the Washington Post, Levin described the case against Obama so far, based on what is already publicly known.

FROM A FRIEND:

We had a power cut at our house this morning, and my PC, laptop, TV, DVD, iPad & my new surround sound music system were all shut down.
Then I discovered that my mobile phone battery was dead and to top it off it was raining outside, so I couldn't play golf.
I went into the kitchen to make coffee and then I remembered that this also needs power, so I sat and talked with my wife for a couple of hours.
She seems like a nice person.

CHANDIGARH, India — It was a long journey for Indian snowshoe champion Tanveer Hussain and his team manager to the World Snowshoe Championships in Saranac Lake, N.Y., last weekend.
The two men were initially denied visas to travel to the United States in the chaotic days following the Trump administration’s travel ban. The reasons for the rejections remain unclear — India is not among the seven countries named in Trump’s executive order — but after the intervention of Saranac Lake’s mayor and the office of Sen. Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.), the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi reversed its decision.
Hussain and team manager Abid Khan arrived Feb. 23 in the bucolic Adirondacks town, which had been following their visa ordeal and extended them a hero’s welcome. Locals offered congratulations and free lodging at an inn that in the snow looked like a “fairy tale scene from a movie,” Khan said in a Facebook post.
The “fairy tale” was shattered Wednesday when Hussain, 24, was arrested and charged with felony sexual abuse and child welfare endangerment, police said.
