A FRENCH MP has died after she collapsed on stage during a campaign speech for the country’s presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron. Corrine Erhel, 50, was rushed to hospital after she fell to the ground while speaking from the platform at the event in Plouisy in western France yesterday but she later died. Ms Ehrel, who became a MP for a part of northern Brittany in 2007, had been a staunch supporter of Emmanuel Macron, having left the Socialist party to join his En Marche! movement in 2016.
