The first attempts to bring people back from the dead are slated to start this year. Bioquark, a Philadelphia-based company, announced in late 2016 that they believe brain death is not 'irreversible'. And now, CEO Ira Pastor has revealed they will soon be testing an unprecedented stem cell method on patients in an unidentified country in Latin America, confirming the details in the next few months. To be declared officially dead in the majority of countries, you have to experience complete and irreversible loss of brain function, or 'brain death'. According to Pastor, Bioquark has developed a series of injections that can reboot the brain - and they plan to try it out on humans this year.

AMERIKA!

They ought to rerun the 1987 miniseries Amerika. Originally, it was supposed to portray America 10 years after being conquered by the Soviet Union. If they run the show again now, they could pitch it as America after liberals have been in control of education for another generation.

Prosecutors have released chilling video footage of the rescue of Kala Brown after she was kidnapped by alleged serial killer Todd Kohlhepp in South Carolina in 2016. The disturbing video, released by prosecutors late Friday along with dozens of pictures and hundreds of pages of evidence, shows the moment on Nov. 3, 2016 when officers discover Brown, who authorities say was “chained up like a dog” inside a metal storage container on Kohlhepp’s property near Woodruff. After hearing Brown’s screams, officers are seen on video breaking open the green container she was kept in and entering into its darkness with flashlights and guns. They walk past cases of plastic water bottles, metal shelving and what appears to be a cage before finding Brown at the back of the bin.

SHE SO COOL!!
New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand used salty language Friday to express her frustration with Washington politics.
"If we are not helping people, we should go the f--- home," the Democrat declared in a speech to activists. It's extraordinarily rare for members of Congress to swear in public. The mother of two young children also lashed out at Republican President Donald Trump for failing to follow through on promises to improve health care and the tax system for working families.
"Has he kept any of his promises?" she asked. "No. F--- no."
YOUNG AUDIENCES LOVE THIS!!

Real-Life Vampire Couple Says Sucking Blood Is Better Than Sex. They’re bloody perfect for each other. Two self-proclaimed vampires in Austin, Texas, say they’ve found true love thanks to a passionate relationship built on sucking each other’s blood. Countess Lea and Count Tim Van Doorn (who we suspect aren’t really royal) met two years ago at a vampire festival and felt what Tim described to Barcroft TV as an instant “connection of darkness.” That quickly turned into a romance that alternately really bites and really sucks ― in a good way, according to Lea, a 20-year-old fetish model. The man hopes his 3-year-old son eventually chooses the lifestyle.

The BBC has been accused of censorship after Twitter uses suggested references to 'Allah' and the 'Koran' were edited out of a TV interview. Karrien Stevens, who runs Little Diamonds Nursery in Hermon Hill, London said yesterday that a member of her staff was punched, kicked and slashed with a 'Stanley knife' by three 'Asian women' chanting about 'Allah' and the 'Koran'. The televised interview, which was shared on Twitter, shows a cut at 17 seconds - the point where users suggested Ms Stevens would have gone on to make her comments about Islam.

Valencia police have launched an investigation after a swimming pool filter sucked out the intestines of the 14-year-old boy. According to the police, the boy went to the leisure center to get swimming lessons. After getting the lessons, the teen decided to stay in the pool with his friends. For some reason he removed the vent of the swimming pool filter. As a result, he got sucked into the filter. Here is where the story gets a little fuzzy, but we can only assume what body part got caught in the filter, or why he put it in there in the first place. Whatever the reason, the boy could not free himself due to the strong suction. Witnesses at the scene quickly turned off the filter and several people rushed to pull out the unconscious teen from the water. He was rushed to the hospital, where he underwent hours of surgery to put his intestines back into his body. The teen remains in critical condition, but is expected to survive.

A peacock wreaked havoc on a Southern California liquor store by destroying hundreds of dollars worth of alcohol. Royal Oaks Liquors manager Rani Ghanem told NBC Los Angeles a customer tipped him off to the presence of the large peafowl that had perched itself on a shelf beneath a neon Pabst Blue Ribbon beer sign. "A lady said, 'Hey, uh, you have a bird inside your store,'" Ghanem said. Ghanem was overwhelmed as the peacock flapped its wings around the store and even flew toward him.
