The Seasteading Institute in California has an audacious mission: to establish floating societies that will “restore the environment, enrich the poor, cure the sick, and liberate humanity from politicians.”
Like in the 19th century, when many people left the cities of the Eastern US to gain independence by claiming a patch of land and working it — which was known as "homesteading" — seasteaders" hope to create a new social, economic and political frontier on the ocean. That’s the vision of “seavangelist” Joe Quirk. Quirk got involved in the seasteading movement after attending his 10th Burning Man festival. He says he became fascinated by watching rules emerge that “are not predictable from their initial parameters.” “You start imagining, what if we could have more societies like these? What if they didn't just last a week, but all year round?” Quirk says. “What if we could have hundreds [of these societies]? What interesting ways that people could get along would we discover?”

PYONGYANG — In a breakthrough negotiation amid escalating tensions on the Korean peninsula, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has agreed to trade away all his nuclear weapons in exchange for a single Krispy Kreme franchise, sources confirmed today.
“I’m super proud of Ambassador Hailey for negotiating such a big, big deal,” President Donald Trump said. “I thought I was going to have to bomb the shit out of ‘em.”
Pundits had long speculated on what could get Kim Jong-un to give up his nuclear weapons. Many experts had recommended tougher sanctions, or trying to persuade China to become more involved, though none seemed to change Pyongyang’s behavior.

A new survey shows that 25% of Americans do not believe in God. The part of America that voted for Hillary seems to believe we elected the Devil, though.

Robots are replacing not just low-skilled fast-food workers, and predicted to replace high-skilled professionals like lawyers and doctors, robots are beginning to make inroads into prostitution as well.
Megan Hill reports for the UK tabloid The Sun, July 9, 2017, that “Passion Dolly” is lifesize android with blonde hair, massive 32E boobs, an hourglass figure and eerily lifelike facial features of blue eyes and pouty lips. Described as “Ireland’s most realistic sex doll”, Passion Dolly arrived at the Dublin brothel, operated by two East European sex workers, less than a month ago and dozens of men “have already had their way with her.”
An import from the U.S., Dolly weighs 112 lbs., has a metal skeleton covered in silicone which enables it to be bent and twisted, and responds to “vibrations” moving like a human. The brothel’s ad on an adult website reads:
“Are you wasting money paying for sex… or watching porn? Why not have the full pleasure of having sex with the most beautiful girl whenever you want and as many times as you want? Passion Dolly is an ultra-realistic sex doll for your pleasure. She is made of either TPE or medical silicone and has a metal skeleton as internal structure to allow you to bend and twist the doll’s torso, head, arms and legs to pose in any sexual position you please.”
When customers arrive they will find Dolly lying on a bed in a dimly lit room. Condoms and tissues are also provided.

BECAUSE IT'S TRUMP'S FAULT!!
Washington is one of seven states that does not have a personal income tax, but this week one of its cities approved one on just its wealthiest residents.
Late Monday the Seattle City Council voted unanimously in favor of a personal income tax on its top earning residents. Individuals with incomes in excess of $250,000 and those filing jointly with incomes in excess of $500,000 would be subject to a 2.25% tariff. People with incomes below those thresholds would not be affected.
Seattle believes the tax will raise around $140 million per year and could help close the wealth gap in the city, while the mayor also cited President Donald Trump’s economic agenda as a reason to introduce the tax.
“Seattle is challenging this state’s antiquated and unsustainable tax structure by passing a progressive income tax,” Seattle Mayor Ed Murray said in a statement on his website. “Our goal is to replace our regressive tax system with a new formula for fairness, while ensuring Seattle stands up to President Trump’s austere budget that cuts transportation, affordable housing, healthcare, and social services. This is a fight for economic stability, equity, and justice.”

Per Prediction by Prince Charles, It Is Already Too Late to Save Humanity From Capitalism and Global Warming- The bad news is that we are all doomed. The good news: at least we don’t have to fret about global warming anymore, because it is too late to do anything about it anyway. We have this on the authority of the Prince of Wales himself:
Prince Charles warned in July 2009 humanity had only 96 months to save the world from “irretrievable climate and ecosystem collapse, and all that goes with it” caused by unchecked consumerism. Saturday marked the 96-month deadline the Prince of Wales set, meaning that, according to Charles, humanity has run out of time to avert “an environmental crisis.” “We face the dual challenges of a world view and an economic system that seem to have enormous shortcomings, together with an environmental crisis – including that of climate change – which threatens to engulf us all,” Charles said in a 2009 speech at St. James’s Palace in London.
THE PRINCE MUSTA GOT INTO AL GORES STASH!

Moving to a new phone can be a pain. Android might have the edge over iOS when it comes to tight integration with cloud services, but Google still has a ways to go when it comes to effortlessly transferring all your data off your old phone and onto the new one.
But it has gotten better. You’ll need to rely heavily on Google’s services, of course, but with Android Nougat, moving your personal info has never been easier. It’ll still take a some vigilance and a little work, but you don’t need to be an Android whiz anymore to ensure your data is ready to move the next time a catastrophe hits your phone—or you just really want a new one.

Major NATO exercises in Eastern Europe have begun in Bulgaria on Tuesday involving 25,000 military personnel from more than 20 allied and partner countries as the U.S. seeks to reassure NATO's European allies.
The Saber Guardian 17 exercises are being led by U.S. Army Europe and run until July 20. The training will also take place in Hungary and Romania, including at the country's Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base near the Black Sea. The opening ceremony was held at the Novo Selo military camp in southern Bulgaria.
The drills aim to increase the interoperability of participating countries and demonstrate resolve and readiness to act in support of security and stability in the Black Sea region. There will be a total of 18 specialized exercises.
A U.S. European Command statement said the drills are designed as a deterrent. The U.S. has beefed up its presence in Eastern Europe since Russia annexed Ukraine's Crimea Peninsula to reassure NATO's East European members, which were formerly in Moscow's sphere of influence.
