OBAMA'S 1995 LETTER TO HIS BROTHER IN AFRICA

President Obama’s half-brother has sold a handwritten letter the president sent him 20 years ago – revealing he planned to venture into politics to tackle ‘some serious issues blacks face here’.
It is the third personal note Malik Abongo ‘Roy’ Obama has auctioned in recent years.
But this, dated 23 July 1995, is perhaps the most revealing about the president-to-be’s political ambitions.

Dear Abongo,
Hey there, brother! How are you faring these days. I received your postcard, along with the news that you’ve found a new wife. Man, I must say you don’t fool around! Please write and tell me more about her. A photo would also be nice, although I have no doubt that she is beautiful.
How is it otherwise being at home? I hope everyone is well, in good health and in good spirits. I understand that you have bought some property, and that you brought over a vehicle from the UK after all. Any other business ventures? I’m very eager to hear about everything, and trust that your hard work and planning will pay off in the near future.
As for me, I am very busy these days. As you can see, the book is finished and in the bookstores, so I have been going to various bookstores to talk about the book. In addition, some colleagues of mine here have talked me into running for the Illinois State Senate (like being an MP for a province, not the national United States Congress in D.C.) I have agreed, since I have an interest in politics to deal with some of the serious issues blacks face here. Of course, it involves a lot of campaigning, going to meetings and so on, which I don’t find so attractive. Anyway, if I win it will only be a part-tine post, and I will continue my work as a lawyer.
Michelle is fine, also busy with her work. My mum’s health has stabilized for now, but she is by no means cured and continues to undergo extensive treatment. Maya has gone back to Hawaii for the summer to keep her company, which I think put her in better spirits. Tutu, Maya and Mum all send their love.
Please send my love to Bernard, Abo, Sayid, Abongo, Silpa, Granny, your mum, and all the rest of the family. I have sent an extra, paperback version of the book to be passed around if anyone else is interested. I hope to hear from you soon, with news of happiness and success.
Much love –
Barack

BUT THE LIBERALS SAY JINDAL IS NOT A REAL INDIAN

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana — Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal fired up a hometown crowd with his 2016 GOP presidential campaign launch speech, hammering away at liberals like former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and at the entire political class on both sides of the aisle.
Taking the stage to Garth Brooks’ “Callin’ Baton Rouge,” — Baton Rouge, of course, is where Jindal was born after his parents immigrated to the U.S. from India — after his wife Supriya introduced him, Jindal proceeded to decimate the permanent political class in Washington and hammer away at multiculturalism.
“Today’s Republican Party in Washington has been beaten into submission and is increasingly afraid to speak the truth,” Jindal said, according to prepared remarks released ahead of time by his campaign. “It’s time to say what everyone is thinking — the emperors in Washington are not wearing any clothes. In case it’s not clear by now, I’m running for President without permission from headquarters in Washington, D.C. But rest assured — I’m tanned, rested, and ready for this fight.”
Jindal hammered career politicians, who he said aren’t “leaders” but “followers.”
“Here’s the truth about most politicians — they are selfish, and they are followers, not leaders,” Jindal said. “They worry more about their own fate than the country’s fate.  They take polls, figure out where the public is headed, and then run out front and pretend to be leading the parade. It’s easy to be a popular politician, don’t rock the boat, kiss babies and cut ribbons, and don’t make big changes. But I will not take the easy way out.  If you want someone who will pretend that everything is fine and just make some small tweaks — then you want someone else.
“I will never lead from behind.”
Jindal opened his speech with the announcement, which he also made earlier in the day online, that he’s running for president of the United States. Right after that, he jumped into his backstory and how his parents immigrated to the U.S.
“My name is Bobby Jindal, I am the Governor of the great state of Louisiana, and I am running for President of the greatest country in the world — the United States of America,” Jindal said. “Forty-four years ago, a young couple who had never been on an airplane before left their home on the other side of the world to come to a place called America. They had never seen it; there was no internet to search. But they had heard the legend that there was a place in this world where the people were free, and the opportunities were real. They weren’t really coming to a geographical place, they were coming to an idea… and that idea is America. To them, America represented all that was good in the world, where you could get ahead if you worked hard and played by the rules. A place where what matters is the content of your character, not the color of your skin, the zip code you were born in, or your family’s last name.”
When his parents came to America, he said, they discovered that the “legend” of this country’s virtues was true.
“Thirty seven years later, my parents’ oldest son became Governor of Louisiana,” Jindal said. “It was the aftermath of Katrina, our economy was locked in a downward spiral, our biggest city was reeling, and for 25 straight years more people had left this state than had moved into it.  Louisiana was in big trouble… So we had to make big changes. We had to believe in Louisiana Again. And that is exactly what we did.” BREITBART ARTICLE HERE

The Liberals say he's not much of an Indian because of this from the Washington Post:
As a child, he announced he wanted to go by the name “Bobby,” after a character in the “Brady Bunch.” He converted from Hinduism to Christianity as a teen, and was later baptized a Catholic as a student at Brown University — making his devotion to Christianity a centerpiece of his public life. He and his wife were quick to say in a “60 Minutes” interview in 2009 that they do not observe many Indian traditions — although they had two wedding ceremonies, one Hindu and one Catholic. He said recently he wants to be known simply as an American, not an Indian American…
“My mom was fully committed to raising us as Americans,” Jindal said. “That was a conscious decision. We ate food that would be familiar to other families in south Louisiana. She wanted to raise us like other kids in the neighborhood.”…
He began wearing cowboy boots more often [as governor] and got a hunting license. In December, he and wife Supriya were pictured on their Christmas card with their three kids decked out in camouflage.

THE AMERICAN CONFEDERACY LIVES ON IN BRAZIL

One day last spring, near an old rural cemetery in southern Brazil, a black man named Marcelo Gomes held up the corners of a Confederate flag to pose for a cell-phone photo. After the picture was taken, Gomes said he saw no problem with a black man paying homage to the history of the Confederate States of America. "American culture is a beautiful culture," he said. Some of his friends had Confederate blood.
Gomes had joined some 2,000 Brazilians at the annual festa of the Fraternidade Descendência Americana, the brotherhood of Confederate descendants in Brazil, on a plot near the town of Americana, which was settled by Southern defectors 150 years ago. The graveyard is usually empty save for its caretaker or the odd worshipper drawn to its little brick chapel. On the April morning of the festa, a public-address system blaring the Confederate battle song "Stonewall Jackson's Way" had interrupted the cemetery's silence. Brazilians in ten-gallon hats and leather jackets called out greetings.

For miles around the graveyard, unfiltered sun beat down on sugarcane fields planted by the thousands of Confederates who had rejected Reconstruction and fled the United States in the wake of the Civil War—a voluntary exile that American history has more or less erased. Their scattered diaspora has gathered annually for the past 25 years. The party they throw, which receives funding from the local government, is the family reunion of the Confederados, one of the last remaining enclaves of the children of the unreconstructed South.
Almost everyone had come to the festa dressed as an American—in jeans and boots, Johnny Cash T-shirts and camouflage. Visitors haggled at a booth stocked with Southern paraphernalia: aprons, quilts, commemorative glasses, a used copy of The Autobiography of Malcolm X. An amplified voice called the crowds to pull their chairs up to the main stage—an enormous concrete slab with a flag painted across it and the words XXVI FESTA CONFEDERADA emblazoned at its top. The mayor of the nearby town Santa Bárbara d'Oeste surveyed his assembled constituents and welcomed the state representatives in attendance. "It's the first time I have the honor being here as mayor," he beamed, leaning over the microphone as descendants in homemade hoop skirts and sewn Confederate grays standing behind him hoisted flags up long, thin wooden poles. "But I've been here many times as a spectator, a fan." The banners of São Paulo, Brazil, Texas, the United States, and the Confederacy flapped languidly in the breeze. "North American immigration has helped build our region, has helped build Santa Bárbara d'Oeste, has helped build the city of Americana," he proclaimed. "That's what we celebrate today."
