It wasn't enough that photographs of German Chancellor
Angela Merkel clad in a black bathing suit appeared in the morning
press. Now photos of a naked young Merkel strolling along a beach have
emerged.
From naked sledding to hiking in nothing more than a pair of boots, many Germans enjoy a spot of public nudity.
As Angela Merkel enjoys a well-earned break on the Italian island of
Ischia, paparazzi snapped photos of her dipping her toe in thermal
springs. Reactions varied with one Telegraph
commentator noting "People taking and publishing pictures of an old
woman on a private holiday are disgusting" whilst another opined the
photos demonstrated the "finest Teutonic examples of a women's body in
Euro zone politics."
Unfortunately for Frau Merkel the Ischia photos are not the worst of it
as naked photographs of 18-year-old Angela have gone viral online.

I must point out that Europeans don't have quite the Puritanical views about the body as many Americans.
