Sherman People presently in office and power have not done a sufficient job. Freedom is in the jeopardy. The fabric of society is declining. Law and order is not mainstream. All is not right. Hope to God that there's enough righteous leaders to put things back in balance and harmony.

Joe Marion, there are jackasses on both ends of this highly polarized society. It's up to everyone else to keep an open mind and do the best they can to vote for the candidate they think won't be a total disaster. It's a shame this is the best we can do, but that's where we are.

Marion Joe I agree with you but unfortunately if we had George Washington for a candidate most of your party would be voting for Hilary. Your party is agenda driven.

Joe
Joe Marion, it's not my party. I start off every election trying to ignore party affiliation. I'd like to see three strong parties. The only trouble with that is that Congress would end up choosing the winner often, and they can't even do their day job. If we had three parties, we'd need popular election with runoffs. Two parties would be okay if they wouldn't be so confrontational.

Marion Their confrontational because one loves and respect the constitution and the other, well not so much. One believes one person one vote. One believes you should be able to rise to the top with hard work and good ideas the other one wants to take it and divide it to people that won't work.

Joe
Joe It may seem that way, but there are moderates in both parties. Being a moderate is not a bad thing, especially with so much polarization.

Marion That's a cop out answer Joe. Show me the conservatives burning towns beating people, sit ins and sleep ins leaving trash and human waste conservatives not allowing someone to speak

Joe There are plenty of hateful conservatives, you don't have to look too far. No, they may not burn towns or leave trash, but manifest it in different ways.

Pat Joe how so Joe, sticks and stones my friend. Marion is right. Voting for Hillary with so much crime and wrong associated with her and her husband, the impeached Clinton, is just wrong and reflects poorly on anyone directly or indirectly associated with them. To include condoning them and their actions by voting for them.. That shows approval.

Marion I have to say Joe I agree with Pat. I hope that's not mean spirited

Joe John, of course it's slanted. It's an OpEd. But I think if Trump supporters want to understand how many others (including many moderates) see Trump, this OpEd gives that insight.

John  Yes, Joe, about the same as the other half view Hillary. Neither half cares what the other half think and both halves think the other half is crazy/stupid.

John  After an 8 year mudslide I'm just ABC and willing to toss the dice and take a chance on something different than the Kennedy/Bush/Clinton career politicians and the NWO. This might be the last chance for salvation, might as well go all in.

John  We're on the verge of a new Reagan era or falling into a Clinton trap. Which I'm not sure, so take a chance.

Joe I assure you if I thought Trump would usher in a new Reagan era, I would give him serious consideration. That's not the case. He's neither a conservative nor a statesman, by any stretch.

John  As I am more Libertarian neither a conservative nor a statesman may not be a bad thing. A wrench in the current political machine might be what we need.

Joe John , I think a wrench thrown in could be disastrous. I'll hold out for a well qualified machinist. We have four years to find one.

Mike  How 'non-progressives' see Hillary:

'...Now, extreme views about women, we expect that from some of the terrorist groups, we expect that from people who don't want to live in the modern world, but it's a little hard to take from Republicans who want to be the president of the United States....Yet they espouse out of date, out of touch policies. They are dead wrong for 21st century America....'- Hillary Clinton
