According to a new report published on Monday by NGO Monitor (EAPPI: The World Council of Churches’ Training Camp for Anti-Israel Advocacy), the Ecumenical Accompaniment Program in Palestine and Israel (EAPPI), a group operating since 2002 under the auspices of the World Council of Churches (WCC) has brought 1,800 volunteers to Judea and Samaria to “witness life under occupation” – something the WCC does not do in any other conflict zone. “By singling out Israel, EAPPI embodies anti-Semitism, as defined in the International Holocaust Remembrance Association’s working definition,” the report argues.

We are continually told that every country must have an activist government. No economy nor society can be allowed to just bumble along by itself, the firm smack of political control is necessary for the world to continue to turn on its axis. This is not really what the empirical evidence tells us of course. Spain has not really had a government for the past 10 months and yet it is expected to be one of the fastest-growing eurozone economies this year.
