4 KAEPERNICK THINGS NOT IN MEDIA

San Fransisco 49er’s quarterback Colin Kaepernick refused to stand during the national anthem during a recent NFL football game. He claimed he would no longer stand for a flag that represents a country who oppresses blacks. Does he even know what “oppression” is?
I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.
1). Kaepernick coincidentally converted to Islam only two months ago.
2). He is engaged to Nessa Diab, a Black Lives Matter activist who promotes what she calls “authentic Islam.” The Kaepernick’s will also have a traditional Muslim wedding.
nessa diab
3). Kaepernick was abandoned by his black family as a child and was adopted by a white family. Did he suffer like he claims or was he taken care of when no one else wanted him? You only hear him talking tough now because something else is driving his anti-American anger.
4).To date, Kaepernick has donated $0 (ZERO) to Black Lives Matter or any other group affiliated with helping minorities. His net worth is estimated to be over $100 million, yet he has donated zero dollars to the issues he claims to be so passionate about.
“When the National Anthem is played, I salute because I am a black man born and raised in the inner city afforded the opportunity for greatness in my own right. May you seek God’s forgiveness and find humility, because we, the people are not going to forget what you did and said.” –Conservative Daily Post
Former US Rep., Allen West had these tough words for anti-American pro-BLM Colin Kaepernick: BLM activists are thugs that vandalize cities and collect welfare checks while our veterans are sleeping under a bridge overpass because they fought for Kaepernick to have the freedom to utter ignorant remarks like he did.

UBS WHISTLEBLOWER EXPOSES POLITICAL PROSTITUTION ALL THE WAY TO OBAMA

UBS, the world's largest wealth manager, is facing embarrassment over fresh revelations going back to the tax investigation that led to the collapse of Swiss banking secrecy. Two significant events are looming before UBS. The first is the possibility of a public trial in France, featuring UBS whistleblower Bradley Birkenfeld, concerning historic tax evasion allegedly orchestrated by the bank. That could happen this year.

The other is the publication this October of Birkenfeld's scathing new book, Lucifer's Banker, which covers his time at UBS.

UBS and Obama

Birkenfeld claims there was a glaring conflict of interest involving then Senator Barack Obama, which essentially placed him on the UBS payroll. He said UBS was an enthusiastic fundraiser for Obama for his 2008 election campaign and senior executives at the bank bundled campaign contributions. Bundlers are expected to raise in excess of $500,000 each for the US president's re-election effort. UBS also advised the president on investments and strategy for the country. Birkenfeld states that when he gave testimony about UBS to the Senate Committee in late 2007, Senator Obama was conspicuously absent.

Birkenfeld said: "When I went to give this information to the US Senate Committee they provided me a subpoena to testify, as the DOJ refused to do this. At this time Senator Obama was an active member of that committee and he never showed up for any of those hearings. Not one.

"But at the same time he was taking millions of dollars from UBS in campaign contributions. That's the ultimate conflict of interest because he should have been there helping to investigate UBS on behalf of the American taxpayers, but instead he was taking money from UBS. I call it political prostitution. He is taking millions of dollars from a criminally corrupt bank in direct violation to his oath of office."

"Why wasn't I allowed to testify in public? They stopped it. Why wasn't I allowed to testify at Raoul Weil's trial? They stopped it. I had to fight to go find the French magistrate to help them.

"We are dealing here with the corruption of US government and people like Barack Obama and the corruption of big banks like UBS. These are people that have really betrayed their country."

Bradley Birkenfeld's book Lucifer's Banker: The Untold Story of How I Destroyed Swiss Bank Secrecy is published by Greenleaf on 18 October 2016.

ASSANGE ON RICH AND TRUMP

Assange suggested that Rich was a WikiLeaks source but declined to accuse anyone of his murder.

"You know, some people have asked us, 'When will you release information on Donald Trump?'" Assange said later. "And of course we're very interested in all countries, to reveal the truth about any candidate, so people can understand, but actually it's really hard for us to release anything worse than what comes out of Donald Trump's mouth every second day. I mean, it's part of his charismatic appeal that he speaks off the cuff, but, you know, that's difficult for Donald Trump to overcome, a lot of those things, even with a lot of great material coming out by WikiLeaks and other publications."

A picture is worth a thousand words. It can't be made and simpler than this.

GREASED TEFLON COATED PIGS

There has been no justice, and they have made off like bandits ever since. One might argue that it's unfair to impute Bill Clinton's misdeeds to his wife, but but it's not a matter of imputation. Hillary Clinton has been integrally involved every step of the way — from enabler to enforcer to joint participant.
Don't ever forget her complicity, such as her leading role in destroying the train of women who dared to blow the whistle on him.
From the beginning, these two have stepped all over people (Travelgate) and mutually abused .and destroyed Bill's harassment victims. But do you remember the grating mantra of the Clinton-guarding media? "These are private matters that have nothing to do with his public life. Private conduct is irrelevant to one's fitness for public office."
Well, these disgraceful hacks don't have that excuse in their arsenal of dodges this time. There is no way even a journalism school valedictorian could credibly argue that the Clinton Foundation graft didn't directly involve the public interest.
The media and Democratic Party's joint alibis for the Clintons through the years have puffed the Clintons up with a sense of invincibility. The couple have to believe there is nothing they could do that would bring them down.

It's awfully convenient for the Clintons and their liberal hatchet men to paint every scandal as a politically motivated slander, but when the media and the Democratic Party themselves always refuse to put truth above their own ideological and political interests, it's inevitable that only Republicans would bring these charges.
But the Clinton Foundation scandal seems to be different.
It is objectively true that the Clintons have become mega-millionaires since the close of Bill's second term — and they've done it through exorbitant speaking fees, which, absent other consideration, couldn't possibly benefit the payers commensurate to their payments, and bizarre contributions to their foundation by foreign interests that had unusual access to Hillary's State Department.
Bill Clinton flippantly dismissed the suggestion of any quid pro quo, saying there is no evidence that any of the donors received anything for their donations. When asked whether there is at least an appearance of impropriety, he said, "I'm not responsible for anybody else's perception."
It couldn't be more fitting that he was the first postmodern president.
He lent Oval Office credence to the demonic lie that words have no meaning apart from what people choose individually to assign to them. He's unctuously transitioned from "It depends upon what the meaning of the word 'is' is" to "I can't be held accountable for your accurate perception that my wife and I are wholly corrupt and have not only used our public positions to financially profit but also compromised and damaged the nation's interests in the process."
Just think about the charge that Crown Prince Salman of Bahrain secured a meeting with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that led to her approval of certain extremely controversial arms sales to Bahrain after his kingdom donated up to $150,000 directly to the Clinton Foundation and some $32 million to the Clinton Global Initiative.

No president in modern history, including Richard Nixon, has been the scandal virtuoso that both of the Clintons are in their own right.
The jig just may be up.
WikiLeaks editor Julian Assange promises more email dumps that will bring Hillary Clinton down. Wouldn't it be the profoundest poetic justice if the Clintons were done in by the very emails Hillary thought she had deep-sixed months ago?

FOUNDED BY GENIUSES BUT RUN BY IDIOTS

If plastic water bottles are okay, but plastic bags are banned, — you might live in a nation (state) that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
WE DO LIVE IN SUCH A DUMB COUNTRY!!

If you can get arrested for hunting or fishing without a license, but not for entering and remaining in the country illegally — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If you MUST show your identification to board an airplane, cash a check, buy liquor, or check out a library book and rent a video, but not to vote for who runs the government — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.ju

If, in the nation's largest city, you can buy two 16-ounce sodas, but not one 24-ounce soda, because 24-ounces of a sugary drink might make you fat — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If an 80-year-old woman who is confined to a wheelchair or a three-year-old girl can be strip-searched by the TSA at the airport, but a woman in a burka or a hijab is only subject to having her neck and head searched — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If your government believes that the best way to eradicate trillions of dollars of debt is to spend trillions more — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If a seven-year-old boy can be thrown out of school for saying his teacher is "cute" but hosting a sexual exploration or diversity class in grade school is perfectly acceptable — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If hard work and success are met with higher taxes and more government regulation and intrusion while not working is rewarded with Food Stamps, WIC checks, Medicaid benefits, subsidized housing, and free cell phones — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If you pay your mortgage faithfully, denying yourself the newest big-screen TV, while your neighbor buys iPhones, time shares, a wall-sized do-it-all plasma screen TV and new cars, and the government forgives his debt when he defaults on his mortgage — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

INTERESTING NUTRITIONAL INFO- SOME DEBUNKING

Is agave really better than white sugar? Will cleansing help my body detoxify? We all hunger for nutrition advice, but not all the advice you hear is worth believing. Here are the truths behind five common nutrition myths:
Processed meat causes cancer
Remember last year’s scary headline? “World Health Organization Says Processed Meat Causes Cancer.” Turns out, the science was not as dire as the headline made it sound.
The WHO report said that eating 50 grams of processed meat every day (about one hot dog) increased the relative risk of colorectal cancer by 18 percent. That’s not the same as “causing cancer.” To put it into perspective: The average person has a 5 percent risk of developing colon cancer; those who eat a lot a processed meat increase their risk to 6 percent.
Meats that are not processed — such as steak, veal and fresh pork (like pork chops or loin, not bacon or ham) are less strongly linked to colorectal cancerthan processed meats.
So what does this mean for your dinner plate? The American Institute for Cancer Research suggests avoiding processed meat and limiting red meat to no more than 18 ounces (about three 6 oz. servings) per week. Steaks and pork chops are better choices than sausages, deli meats or bacon.
Natural sweeteners are better than regular sugar
Let’s face it: If you bake cookies using a cup of sugar, it really doesn’t matter what type you use if you eat all of the cookies, right? Whether it’s date sugar, agave or evaporated cane juice, when it comes to sugars, the quantity you consume matters more than the type.
Guidelines recommend no more than six (for women) to nine (for men) teaspoons of any type of added sugar daily. Higher consumption is linked to an increased risk of heart disease, obesity and diabetes.
Maybe you prefer coconut sugar because it’s less refined or may cause less of an insulin spike than white sugar. That’s fine, but you still need to watch portion size. Despite the different colors, textures and flavors, all sugars contain a similar number of calories (10-20 per teaspoon) but scant amounts of vitamins, minerals and fiber. Enjoy a spoonful in your coffee or in that bite of dessert, but don’t believe any sugar is a health food.
Sea salt is healthier than table salt
Much like natural sugars, the health halo over sea salt is also undeserved. Although it’s often marketed for its content of trace minerals, like copper and manganese, they’re in such tiny quantities that they contribute very little to the body. Plus, we already get enough of these nutrients from the foods we eat daily.
The truth is that sea salt and table salt contain the same amount of sodium by weight, and that’s the nutrient of most concern. Consumed in excess (more than 2,300 mg/day), sodium may put you at higher risk of stroke, kidney disease and high blood pressure.
From a culinary point of view, however, the type of salt matters. Different varieties will change the flavor profile and texture of a dish. For example, flaky Maldon adds a terrific crunch, while Hawaiian sea salt imparts an earthy flavor. So choose a pinch of a particular salt for its culinary characteristics, not because you’re sprinkling health onto your meals.
Quinoa is super-high in protein
Quinoa is often listed alongside poultry and meat as a stellar source of protein, so it’s time to set the record straight. Quinoa has eight grams of protein per cup, but a three-ounce serving of meat or poultry has around 25 grams of protein — hardly comparable.
The confusion lies in the terminology. Quick science lesson: Protein is made up of smaller units called amino acids. A “complete” protein contains all nine essential amino acids — and quinoa is one of relatively few plant-based foods in this category. But being a complete protein isn’t the same as being high in protein.
Quinoa is delicious and does add some protein to your meals, but with 40 grams of carbohydrates per cup, its culinary use is as a grain, not a protein. When compared with other grains, quinoa has a moderate amount of protein — not as much as wheat, but more than brown rice or oats.
Cleansing helps remove toxins from the body
Cleansing involves using laxatives, juices or herbal remedies to remove “toxins” from the body to accelerate weight loss or boost energy. But there is littlescientific research on the effectiveness of cleansing, simply because most “detox diets” don’t identify the specific toxins they aim to remove.
Some people report feeling “energetic” after cleansing, but that may be because most detox diets involve eliminating processed foods. The downside to detoxing? Expensive supplements, possible nutritional deficiencies and false hope from unsubstantiated claims.
You can skip the extravagant juice concoctions and costly supplements, since your body self-cleanses daily. We all have built-in detox systems: the skin, intestines, liver and kidneys effectively remove waste from your body through sweat, urine and feces. So, a good workout (to sweat), some water (to pee) and a high fiber diet (to poop) will cleanse you naturally. And of course, you’ll have less to “cleanse” if you don’t drink too much alcohol, smoke or rely on a diet filled with processed foods.

MEDICINE IS SO ADVANCED NOW!!!

A doctor from France says: "In France , the medicine is so advanced that we cut off a man's testicles; we put them into another man, and in 6 weeks he is looking for work."

The German doctor comments: "That's nothing, in Germany we take part of the brain out of a person ; we put it into another person's head, and in 4 weeks he is looking for work."

A Russian doctor says: "That's nothing either. In Russia we take out half of the heart from a person ; we put it into another person's chest, and in 2 weeks he is looking for work."

The U.S. doctor answers immediately: "That's nothing my colleagues, you are way behind us….in the USA , about 8 years ago, we grabbed a person from Kenya with no brains, no heart, and no balls….we made him President of the United States, and now…….

the whole country is looking for work."

GERMAN PEOPLE ORDERED TO STOCKPILE FOOD

From YahooFor the first time since the end of the Cold War, the German government plans to tell citizens to stockpile food and water in case of an attack or catastrophe, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung newspaper reported on Sunday.
Germany is currently on high alert after two Islamist attacks and a shooting rampage by a mentally unstable teenager last month. Berlin announced measures earlier this month to spend considerably more on its police and security forces and to create a special unit to counter cyber crime and terrorism.
“The population will be obliged to hold an individual supply of food for ten days,”the newspaper quoted the government’s “Concept for Civil Defence” – which has been prepared by the Interior Ministry – as saying. The paper said a parliamentary committee had originally commissioned the civil defense strategy in 2012.
A spokesman for the Interior Ministry said the plan would be discussed by the cabinet on Wednesday and presented by the minister that afternoon. He declined to give any details on the content.
People will be required to stockpile enough drinking water to last for five days, according to the plan, the paper said. The 69-page report does not see an attack on Germany’s territory, which would require a conventional style of national defense, as likely.
However, the precautionary measures demand that people “prepare appropriately for a development that could threaten our existence and cannot be categorically ruled out in the future,” the paper cited the report as saying.
It also mentions the necessity of a reliable alarm system, better structural protection of buildings and more capacity in the health system, the paper said. A further priority should be more support of the armed forces by civilians, it added.
Germany’s Defence Minister said earlier this month the country lay in the “crosshairs of terrorism” and pressed for plans for the military to train more closely with police in preparing for potential large-scale militant attacks.

DNC REVISITED

WHAT THE GERMANS SAID IN 1919

In 1919, the United States compiled a report on German attitudes towards American troops and their behavior during the war and subsequent occupation. The document, titled “Candid Comment on The American Soldier of 1917-1918 and Kindred Topics by The Germans,” included interrogation and interview transcripts and intercepted letters from citizens that contained insight on post-war attitudes of the defeated nation. Below are some highlights and excerpts from that report, which you can read in its entirety here.

ON THE CHARACTER AND ABILITY OF AMERICAN SOLDIERS IN BATTLE

1. “I fought in campaigns against the Russian Army, the Serbian Army, the Roumanian Army, the British Army, the French Army, and the American Army. All told in this war I have participated in more than 80 battles. I have found your American Army the most honorable of all our enemies. You have also been the bravest of our enemies and in fact the only ones who have attacked us seriously in this year’s battles. I therefore honor you, and, now that the war is over, I stand ready, for my part, to accept you as a friend.”
—Chief of Staff for General v. Einem, commander of the Third German Army
2. “Americans are good fighters with nerve and recklessness.”
—Arunlf Oster, Lieut. of Reserve
3. “The prevailing opinion in Germany before our entry into war, was, that American was a money hunting nation, too engrossed in the hunt of the dollar to produce a strong military force. But since our troops have been in action the opinion has changed, and he says that though Germany is at present a defeated nation, he believes that they would be victors in a war with any nation in the world with the exemption of the United States.”
—Karl Finkl of Bolingen
4. “There were only a handful of Americans there but they fought like wildmen."
—Antone Fuhrmann of Mayschoss
5. “[I] had been told by other soldiers that the American infantryman was reckless to the point of foolishness."
—Peter Bertram, shopkeeper of Dernau
6. “The accuracy of American artillery fire…could have been considerably improved upon.”
—Karl Diehl of Selters

ON AMERICANS AS PRISONERS OF WAR

7. “The Americans were what might be called bad prisoners. A group of 14 were brought in one day and when asked about their units refused to talk. They refused to work and talked back to the officers, much to the annoyance of the officers and the concealed delight of the men.”
—Paul Heinman
8. “The Americans were the chief complainers when the food was bad which was always.”
—Pietro D’Paris

ON BEING A PRISONER OF WAR UNDER THE AMERICANS

9. “Prisoners of war under American jurisdiction continue to send home glowing reports of good treatment. It is clearly deducible that they are more satisfied with their present condition, than they would be at home”
—Postal Censorship, April 12, 1919

ON THE SARTORIAL CHARMS OF AMERICAN TROOPS

10. "[American] officers are not well dressed….All officers in the German army even when in active field service have one or more trunks and from time to time are allowed to leave for the purpose of obtaining uniforms.”
—Michael Hoffman of Rech
11. “The American army seems to me as fine a collection of individual physical specimens as I have ever seen. But from the standpoint of military discipline it is a mob, pure and simple. The men appear slouchy, the officers to not stand out from the men in appearance and they do in any European army.”
—Dr. Otto Schranzkmuller, former Prussian Municipal Official

ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN AMERICAN OFFICERS AND THEIR SUBORDINATES

12. “[American] troops lack the snap and precision of the German soldiers but…the cordial relations between the officers and men more than make up for the lack of iron discipline.”
—Anton Liersch, Postal Agent in Dernau
13. “The attitude of the American officer towards enlisted men is very different than in our army in which officers have always treated their men as cattle.”
—M. Walter of Minderlittgen

ON AMERICANS BEING GOOD OCCUPIERS

14. “We were informed that your men were inclined to be rough, and the impression was left with us that we had a very serious time before us…but today, after living 24 hours with them, we have no longer andy apprehension. They are wonderfully mild mannered men and a great contrast to the domineering attitude of our own soldiers. Your troops, not even one, have spoken a single disagreeable word to anyone, and when we offered them wood for cooking and heating purposes they accepted with what seemed to be a certain shyness.”
—Statement of the Mayor of Kaschenbacm
15. “Children have constantly talked of the Americans’ arrival, and pictured them as a band of wild Indians, however, when they troops arrived, we were astonished at their behavior and pleasant attitude toward our people.”
--Michael Simon of Neuerburg
16. “Bolshevism is slowly spreading all over the world. I spoke to a Frenchman a few days ago, who stated that the working men in France demand 25 francs per day. I am glad and thankful we are having American troops occupying our town, otherwise we would have the same trouble as many of the larger cities.”
—Translation of a letter from Coblenz
17. "The American troops show much more consideration for the private rights of the inhabitants of the village than did the German troops."
—Karl Schramem, Landstrumer of Zermullen
18. "The Americans can very well serve as an example for our own troops whose behavior as they passed through here was none too good."
—M. Erasmi of Kylburg
19. “The people here hate the French more than they do the British. They much prefer the Americans as troops of occupation. Since the Americans have arrived the German people have learned to like them.”
—Karl Felder of Bieder Breisig

ON AMERICANS BEING BAD OCCUPIERS

20. “The citizens of Eich who were fined for having a dirty yard and premises claim that their trial was unfair, and that the fines were too heavy. One of them says that American soldiers were partly responsible for the condition of his yard.”
—U.S. Army report, April 17, 1919, in Trier
21. “The young girls complain of the requisitioning of all public buildings by the Americans thereby making any sort of recreation impossible for them. They begrudge our monopoly of the dance."
—Weekly Resume from the 3rd U.S. Army, Feb. 3 1919
22. “Complaints, coming especially from the smaller towns, accuse the Americans of immorality and drunkedness.”
—Weekly Resume from the 3rd U.S. Army, Feb. 3 1919
23. “All male persons from 12-60 years old must give up their beds to the troops of occupation. Children under 12 years certainly never had any claim to a bed. We are supposed to sleep on the floor.”
—Letter from Ehrenbreitstein
24. “Our Americans are very good. But the officers and General are boasting scoundrels…in our house 10 men and 2 officers are quartered. They slam the doors so hard that the whole building shakes.”
—Letter from Mia Clausen
25. “Since day before yesterday there has been crisis here too, among our workers; they all want to strike. But that is only because of the terribly high food prices, for the Americans eat up our little bit and pay outrageous prices…The roads are all rundown from the army autos, and people are being killed every day by crazy chauffeurs. Electricity plants are over burdened and the inhabitants get a feeble current so that the Herr Americans may burn 3 lamps in every latrine.”
—From a letter from Hans Rohrl, Neuwied

AMERICANS AS VORACIOUS AND RASH CONSUMERS

26. “[I run] a store in Brohl, where among other things candy and cookies are sold to American soldiers…[I can] make a profit because the American soldiers will pay the price that I must ask, while the civil population would not.”
—Herr Stenzel
27. “They have lots of money and buy foolishly. Articles that just before our occupation were sold to the people and the German soldiers for 25 to 30 marks are now bought by the Americans for from 80 to 100 marks…a great many articles are being made expressly for the American souvenir hunters and in almost all cases these are made of cheap imitation material.”
—Fritz Ulman of Cologne

—Fianale Fappen, novelty shop owner in Neuenahr

AMERICAN TROOPS' RELATIONSHIP WITH GERMAN WOMEN

30. “Great activity here at present. We have a large aviation field. Seven out of ten of the population are Americans. Many of the girls have fallen deeply in love with them. A new song has already been composed, as follows:
Wo steht denn das geschriben.
Du sollst nur Deutsche lieben?
Man liebt doch auch America.
Translation:—“Where does one find it written, that one most love the Germans only? One can love America also.”
—Letter from H. Moeren Sinzig

—Letter from Lani Schuster, Coblenz-Leutzel

—Letter from Gertrude Bisseldt
33. “Many of our young girls have gone wrong since the A----- are [unclear] is almost hard to believe of some of them. Martha Strodter is engaged to an A-----. Isn’t she crazy?”
—Letter from P. Stanier of Grenzhausen
34. “They are like children and find their joy only in playing and eating which they do the whole livelong day…of course there are exceptions as in anything else, but some of these men are so far beneath, that their origin from the ape can be plainly seen upon their faces. How the censors will rave when they read this letter, but I am only writing the truth. They are the wildest when they are after the girls. But thank God that they can at once recognize the difference between a 'decent' and a 'common girl.'"
—Translation of a letter from Hote Koetter, Neuwied. In the report, this is under the headline: “BAITING THE CENSOR”
35. “Katchen Schroder was thrown into jail from Monday to Tuesday because she told a soldier to ---------. Another girl was unceremoniously spanked in broad daylight, and she is 23 years old too. And what can one do? However, it serves them right. Why don’t they leave the soldiers alone?”
—Letter from Frau Lemka of Wollstein

ON AMERICAN MOTIVATION FOR ENTERING THE WAR

36. “[I] like the American soldier individually but do not like the nation as a whole…America entered the war for what money she could get out of it.”
—Frau Frieda Fischer of Lohndorf
37. “A German officer said that the Americans came over here only to see the world and for the sake of adventure.”
—Mrs. Anton Bursch, shopkeeper in Echternach
38. “You Americans are not real the heart and soul in the war, are you? The French hate us because we took Alsace and Lerraine, but you only entered the war to make sure that England and France would be able to pay you the money you had lent them. For that reason we are glad that the country is being occupied by Americans instead of French or English. Row-boats were often used to deceive German U-boats, and when the letter came to render assistance concealed guns opened fire on the U-boats.”
—A German 12-year-old schoolboy

ON AMERICAN POLITICIANS

ON AMERICAN CHARACTER AND THE POSSIBILITY OF MOVING TO AMERICA

—Letter from Frau Lisbette Schafer of Vallender to William Straube
42. “What are your Americans doing? Do you get as much chocolate as I do! I am tired of the stuff and also of the entire pack, although I have had many very pleasant hours with them. The Americans cannot grasp that we have so much work to do. Those lazy people. Things are better for them in America than for us here. I may yet go with them. Then you would indeed make eyes.”
—Translation of letter from Niederbreisig to Gondorf
