Fort Scammel in distance
Fort Scammel was the main defense of Portland Harbor during the Civil War
I was watching an eagle circling the bay until it dropped down
and caught a fish and flew over to this nest and fed the
screaming little ones. You can just see the nest on the piling.

There was supposed to be a big tidal event but I missed it
due to an altercation which will not be mentioned again...

TITANIC CEMETERY HALIFAX
This was of great interest to me as I had visited Cobh Ireland a few
years back- all the passengers boarded Titanic which then sailed
off into an ice berg in 1912
The only infant body recovered. People visit
and leave stuffed animals.
2 NAVAL WARSHIPS COLLIDED IN HALIFAX HARBOR 1917.
THE RESULTING EXPLOSION DESTROYED A LARGE PORTION OF
HALIFAX KILLING MANY CIVILIANS
This part of an anchor shaft was blown 3.5 miles
from the explosion up into a Halifax neighborhood

DescriptionSir Sandford Fleming Park is a 95-acre Canadian urban park located in the community of Jollimore in Halifax Regional Municipality. It is also known as Dingle Park which means wooded valley. The park was donated to the people of Halifax by Sir Sandford Fleming.
