Why does Ukraine matter?

of over 40 million - more than Poland.

2nd place in Europe and 10th place in the world in terms of titanium ore reserves;

2nd place in the world in terms of explored reserves of manganese ores (2.3 billion tons, or 12% of the world's reserves);

2nd largest iron ore reserves in the world (30 billion tons);

2nd place in Europe in terms of mercury ore reserves;

3rd place in Europe (13th place in the world) in shale gas reserves (22 trillion cubic meters)

4th in the world by the total value of natural resources;

7th place in the world in coal reserves (33.9 billion tons)

Ukraine is an important agricultural country:

HERE IS AN INTERESTING DISCUSSION THAT had not crossed my mind, until I read it--but now that it's mentioned in the message, my curiosity has been peaked.  
Has anyone ever seen:
(a) any of the 6,000 - 7,000 americans that were rescued from afghanistan?  Or
(b) any of them reuniting with family or being interviewed by tv news?
just a short note of something rather insignificant in the grand scheme of things….
We are told by the powers that approximately 6,000 to 7,000 american citizens were rescued by daring efforts of the u.s. state department and u.s. military in evacuations from kabul airport.  
Okay, fair enough…that's a good outcome.  
However, it seems a little odd now that there are no videos of the american survivors of the afghan crisis arriving at airports.  
No crowds or families greeting the extracted american residents.  
No human interest stories.  
No white house invites for a survivors tv broadcast to thank biden.
No hometown interviews of people thanking biden and local broadcast news coverage of relieved americans, husbands, wives, daughters or sons arriving back in their hometown….nothing.
Six to seven thousand americans saved from the clutches of the taliban, and not a single story of those americans arriving home to the waiting arms of their loving families??????   
You can't put a gag order on 7,000 people to not tell how bad it was and you know the democrats would never let a photo opportunity be wasted......so?
Why would they let an opportunity like this go by?  
What could possibly be the reason?
Any of this sound strange to you?  It's making the rounds and you may have already read this. If so, pass it on.  Maybe someone knows the answer?
