May 23, 1934, Bonnie and Clyde killed by police
Clyde Champion Barrow and partner in crime Bonnie Parker, otherwise known as "Bonnie and Clyde," were legendary outlaws,
wanted by the FBI for robbery, murder, and kidnapping. They were the
subjects of "one of the most colorful and spectacular manhunts the
nation had seen up to that time." The two came to a violent end, gunned
down in their car, which was riddled with more than 70 bullets.
