Floor Standards Then and Now

When I was a kid,

Original cheap hardwood floors were covered with linoleum.

Linoleum floors were covered with rugs.

Rugs were replaced with wall-to-wall carpet.

Now we have these cheap manufactured fake hardwood floors because the original hardwood floors are too expensive.

Just saying.
