“I came up with the idea at least 20 years ago that we needed more women in politics. It would take a different turn. And I suggested that men be barred from political office. They could do everything else, be president of universities, business leaders, but they just couldn’t serve in any elected position for 100 years. I think we’d have a lot more emphasis on education and healthcare and a lot less on Army and the Navy and the Marine Corps. It would be a very positive step, but it hasn’t happened yet.”
