Investigators from Terre des Hommes have used a computer program
simulating a 10-year-old girl to catch thousand of men surfing the
internet looking for sex with underage girls and engaging in a new
phenomenon known as webcam child sex tourism.
Campaign group Terre des Hommes,
in an effort to 'stop webcam child sex tourism,' has conducted an
online sting operation catching thousands of pedophiles trying to
solicit a fictitious computer-generated 10-year-old Filipino girl known
as 'Sweetie'. The organisation say that online sex is a new phenomenon
and internet predators pay for and are taking part in ‘webcam child sex
abuse.’
